VENICE, Italy (May 24, 2013) - In occasion of the 55th Venice Biennale, italian photographer Renato D’Agostin exhibits for one night only his new works in the courtyard of Palazzo Bembo, Venice. Following the success of D’Agostin’s solo exhibition THE BEAUTIFUL CLICHÉ - VENEZIA at Palazzo Franchetti and the book presentation at Palazzo Ducale last October in Venice, D’Agostin is now working on three new projects: ETNA, SHANGHAI and ACROBATS. A selection of silver gelatin prints from the new bodies of work curated by Chiara Casarin will be presented in the courtyard of the 15th century palace on the Canal Grande, by the Rialto bridge. BLIND SPOT, a video realized by Michele Baggio will be presented during the event. A document immerged into the red of the darkroom, in its slow and harmonic rhythm of the creative process. The impatience of the pixel leaves room to rays of light modeling new images. On this occasion, Renato D’Agostin and Tankboys join together to celebrate the event with the poster One Night Show – 50 x 70 cm. – 19.6 x 27.5 in. Edition of 1.000 Jazz quartet: Enrico Pagnin sax, Loris Tagliapietra double-bass, Stefano Ottogalli guitar, Luca Bortoluzzi drums Renato D'Agost in was born in Venice, Italy in 1983. He began his career in photography in 2001. In 2005, D’Agostin attended International Center of Photography in New York for courses in Fine Print. Soon after, he became assistant to Ralph Gibson. D’Agostin presented the exhibitions Metropolis (2007) and Tokyo Untitled (2009) in major galleries in The United States, Europe and Japan. He is represented by Photo 4 Charles Zalber, Paris, and MC2 Gallery, Milan. For more information www.renatodagostin.com
